Piano Piece No. 2 was designed as an interlude for the composition How Time Passes. It stands independently of the latter composition. The composition is a virtuoso piece, requiring a highly skilled performer. Although influenced by notions of score synthesis by computer, the piece is an example of free composition, not based on any computer program.
