Soliloquy was written for, and is dedicated to, virtuoso Robert Black, Hartford. The piece is designed to put in focus the personality of the instrument. It is one of the favorite pieces in my entire work.
Soliloquy was premiered in Delft, Holland, in 1984, and subsequently presented at the New England Computer Arts Association, Boston; New York City; the New Music Festival at State University of Buffalo, Buffalo, and at the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnology Karlsruhe, Germany.
